Description

We are seeking a DevOps Consultant to manage WordPress site deliveries, including WordPress plugins and custom components.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain WordPress sites and their underlying infrastructure, to ensure high availability, security, and performance
  • Monitor system logs and metrics to identify issues and optimize resource utilization
  • Create and maintain automation scripts to deploy and manage WordPress environments
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for WordPress sites.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize WordPress sites for performance and security
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and how it relates to large-scale WordPress implementations
Skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: The DevOps Engineer should be able to work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders. They should also be able to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical team members.
  • Project management: As a DevOps consultant, you will be responsible to oversee the implementation of a company’s DevOps strategy. It will include managing the project team, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget, and ensuring the project meets the goals.
  • Collaboration Skills: Collaboration is a key aspect of DevOps culture. You should be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: As a DevOps team manager, you will encounter a wide range of technical and organizational challenges. You must be able to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Experience
  • WordPress and its ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and custom development
  • AWS server administration and scripting
  • Containerization and container orchestration tools 
  • CI/CD tools
  • Infrastructure automation tools 
  • Working with American teams and proficiently explaining your methodology and reasoning
